Very detailed Rowland. Pops out at you. Composition is good as well.

How is the camera cooled as a matter of interest?

Very nice, Rowland. You captured the dust well!

Thanks Craig. The cooling system comprises a copper finger in contact with the back of the CMOS sensor. A Peltier module/heat sink, fan and pulse width modulation supplied by a microprocessor provides temp control down to 30C below ambient.

:) Beautiful! I love this time of year, you can shoot a little bit of everything. (if you can actually see the sky for clouds lol)

Thanks Ken Jen and Lester. It is a great time if you are prepared to stay up.

Nice meeting you too Ken. Do you have anything taken with the 135 lens. The FOV would be ideal at a guess. Sometimes 200 is a bit of a squeeze.

Nice I also pictured this last night. Not as large as your very nice pic but is is OK.
11 frames each 1 minute, 40d + 85mm / 1.8 squeezed to f/2.2 @ ISO 1600 stacked with DSS and enhanced by Photoshop.
Last night 04:00 (UTC+8) from Sanur, Bali.

That is very nice. FOV is terrific. The loop of dust around the back is stunning. I think 200mm is too much for this area.

Wow! looks pretty cool that Rowland, some great contrasts and colours there and I like the orientation of the framing too.

Not exactly a traditional rendition but it made me go wow

Thanks Paul, Ken, Malcolm, Mike, Marc, Darren.

Pixinsight does a good job with processing. I'm still learning StarTools, which does a great job tweaking.

Looking forward to another session at Snake Valley.
