new to forum, but iv'e been looking up thru a 5" celestron powerseeker (best $200 iv'e ever spent) for a few years now. recently purchased a skywatcher 10" dob.( just in time for full moon, then cloud,then....clear, dark skies.wow!) i thought the 5" was a remarkable window to the universe, till i looked thru the 10".its like someone cleaned the window, and made it bigger! anyhow, a quick hello. i'm off to fondle my scope! (wife understands- i hope!) dark skies to all.

You should fondle, well hug anyway your scope regularly, love it and it repays you with wonderful views!
A 10" is a great size, portable, easy to handle but big enough to hunt down '000s of DSOs.
