Despite a rocky start, this camera has turned out pretty well. It is an unusual chip - a 15mm square sensor of 7.m micron pixels for a 4 MP total. It was operating at an image scale of 1.94 as/p which is not exactly what I had wanted when I started looking at these SXVR cameras. I had originally wanted to use their H18 camera - an 8300 clone. But the two cameras supplied were just not good enough - both showing serious RBI and one with major trouble with it's shutter. So the H16 was actaully a compromise but I'm not unhappy with the results.
Here's IC2948 in Ha. 9 x 5 minute subs.

Peter, that looks exceptionally good. Love to see a colour version.

Not Unhappy? Bloody hell! That looks exceptionally good to me, can't wait to see a high resolution shot and some colour.
Glad the camera is working for you after all the hassle you went through with the H18.
So the camera has a 21mm diagonal? How are the noise levels?

Thanks folks.
Peter the noise level is very low. These were shot on a 25 degree night so the cooling was only about -10. But I could probably have got away without doing darks - but I did darks and bias anyway.
This camera will really come into its own when the ambient drops below 20.

The H16/18 are top cameras. You can see the well depth in that pic. It's ultra sensitive. Nearly got a starlight instead of the QHY9 for a similar budget.
