I don't know about you, but it really disturbs me that Perth celebrated the the City of Lights, as part of the anniversary. I remember, as a kid, that I turned all the lights on outside when John Glenn passed overhead. He, so many years later, I learn the folly of such an event.
I would rather see them all turned off, permanently. :P Bring back the night sky, the greatest natural wonder that is disappearing so fast!
