Comet's 1969-1970 ???

I was in Singapore in 1969-1970 and early one morning saw a comet just about on the zenith, it was clearly naked eye, I cannot remember whether it was 1969 or 1970
I was not into astronomy in those days but had some interest in the night sky, I know Comet Bennett was around in 1970, was there any other naked eye comets around in 1969-1970?.
I have checked a few sites on the net, but carn't find out if there where any naked eye periodic Comets in that period.
If you have any information? I would be happy to receive it

Ron, there was definately a few ne comets around that period - check out Maurice Clark's comets of the 70's page from his site

check out the bennet pic of march 28 '70 - woah! nice comet :-)))
Maurice spent a huge amount of time in Western Australia, and most stuff
is taken from there I think? even tho he lives in the U.S. now

Thanks Kearn, I had looked at most of those sites,but they don't have much Data, I am leaning toward Comet Bennett as the Comet in question. Cheers Ron
