Hi all, I gave comet Lovejoy a rest last night and tried for this very faint planetary, although not as faint as the comet now. Abell 7 is in Lepus and has a diameter of over 12' with some galaxies nearby. This is only 6x15 minute exposures with Astrograph and astro 40D at ISO 800.

Comet Lovejoy is going to pass very close to Abell 7, from 29th Feb to 2 March.

An amazing capture Lester.

I'd lay money on you capturing the last shot of Comet Lovejoy.

Good luck.

Ross.

Thanks Ross for your comments. I'd lay money on Terry, as he was able to get the comet recently with the Moon close by.

All the best.
