Hi gang,
Hope everyone is doing well. Here are two new images for you. First, a moderately interesting/pretty nebula-

Next, an unusal and rather lovely galaxy-

I also reprocessed three which had been bugging me. I'd overcooked these and went for a more naturalistic look this time. All were done in PixInsight and Photoshop.

Enjoy and thanks a lot!

Hey Warren, looks as if you've had a chat with the man upstairs to be able to pump as many as you have out of late! (what's his no. ?):D
Ngc1579 looks almost as if it were a bi colour image, but this is of course not true.. so it must be a pretty old neb judging by the more brown appearance..
Your IC 342 is a really interesting spiral.. can't say I've seen any image of this one before....
Love your Ngc 697 group image..... great colours and detail.. love the bright star's bubble, great!

All the best
Rich

Thank you Rich! IC 342 has been done very well by a few- Dr. Rob's comes to mind. Read 1579's description- it really affirms the result- no Ha emission per se, just obscuration of an Ha star. It really is very peachy. :>) Thanks again guys. Though I won't deny chatting with the man, it's more about the Rice's wise decision to locate NMS in such a good weather microsystem. Save for the long monsoon season- lots of good clear nights.

I like all the pics but IC 342 is the most interesting.
I didn't even know about this galaxy & Stellarium won't
recognise it either.

I researched it & found a huge picture made by Kitt Peak:

It really is a beautiful stunning galaxy.
