Hi everyone!
Just wondering what plans others have for February new moon, for those of us who are not going to Bretti.
New Moon falls Wednesday of this coming week, making this Saturday and next Saturday both good options.
I can do this Saturday, I can't do next Saturday. I don't have a key, so I will need to convince a keyholder to join me if this weekend is going to be a goer.

Hey Rod,
I dont have a key, but would be in for either or both of those weekends, id just about kill to get a nice clear moonless night up the PC...
ok, maybe "kill" is an overstating....or maybe not... mwahahahahaha
now...who wants to go to a dark paddock away from most civilisation with me?

I have a gate key.
But no amenities keys have been forthcoming yet as far as I know.
Geoff ? Any news?
Unless SWMBO has other plans, I am keen, weather permitting.

Sounds good!
I've agreed to play cricket this weekend up at Northlakes. So I'll be late...if I can still walk

Weather is a bit of a lottery....

Mike, you have some serious browny points to earn with SWMBO (bearing in mind you will be leaving the family at home during the Ken Duncan tour), so we will forgive you this time. Hope the tournament goes well.
Deeno, never mind the weather, things have been bit of a clearer in the last week or so, I am remaining quietly optimistic.

I'll keep an eye on the cloud cover during the day. If it is only a bit cloudy, I will be going. There is no forecast of rain, just clouds, and we all know that it can be cloudy on the coast at the Central Coast, and clear as a bell at Mangrove Mountain.

Hi Geoff,
Any word yet on access to facilities?
Rod,
I am clear to go tonight, if the weather plays fair.
GB,
I'll bring your book in case.

Thanks for clarifying Geoff. Where has your usual weather-optimism disappeared to?
It WILL be good Deeno!
Good to hear Allan. I have been issued with a leave pass too, so I am good to go as well. I suggest we call it at 6pm one way or the other. I will check in at that time to confirm what's happening.

Looks like I'm out.
Completely overcast here in Sydney.
It's nights like these you really miss that club house.
Somewhere to watch the pies warm up while you wait to see what the weather is going to do.

Ok - guys, I guess there's optimism and then there is madness.......
Let's pull the plug on tonight.
I will polish off the bottle of Bordeaux red we started at lunch. A votre sante!

yes.
I was still 50 50 ...but
The clouds look pretty thick.
And the BOM radar looks threatening.
7timer says it may clear, but probably not until 4
The moon will of course be up by then.
and with no clubhouse access, as GB said
If it improves drastically in next half hour or so, maybe

Hi Allan, it is still 100% cloud cover at Point Clare. I am definitely NOT a starter.

Just arrived home.
Weather looks dubious at best.
And there are still storms still brewing to the west according to the radar.
Fingers crossed for next weekend?

Fingers crossed. Bretti is out for me, so I'm counting on something good on the Mountain.
So far, good news on 7-timer.

Hi Joe.
We need a keyholder.
Greg.
gb_astro
24-02-2012, 11:08 AM
I cant get there till 9 and only have the BT100s at the moment.
If no keyholder turns up I will park at the gate and walk in.
Joe, that might not work for your sct :).
Will bring Denks anyway.

Joe im not quite sure but there is a track just along the southern boundry of the pony club.
I think the gate is somewhere along it.
Greg.
GTB_an_Owl
24-02-2012, 06:53 PM
yes Greg/Joe
the side gate can be accessed from the private driveway next door
its about as far down as the road at the back of the pony club where we turn to come back onto the field

Hi Norm, John.
Most of the regulars are away at Bretti
Mr Owl is off sick.
I doubt if any other key holders are around.
On the weather side cloud is supposed to be increasing.
Greg.
Thanks Greg for the update.
Its been a while, but maybe next month :)
Cheers Norm.
PS: Clouds building up southwest/east in Inner west :(
