Interesting food from the US (http://www.bbc.com/travel/slideshow/20120207-americas-wackiest-fair-foods), tempted to try one at least, but might give the fried ice cream burger a miss

Deep fried Mars Bars have been an attraction at some take away shop on Bondi Beach for years. :)

I am not surprised, we had a deep fried Mars Bar at the mindel market in NT last year, nice taste but a bugger to eat, very messy.

I'd be worried about the aluminium can getting stuck in my teeth ...

Arguably one of the more confusing dishes in Texas is "chicken fried steak"
which has nothing to do with chicken at all but is in fact a cut of beef steak that
has been battered and then fried in a pan. It's like a steak schnitzel.

See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chicken_fried_steak

To add to the menu confusion, they also have "chicken fried chicken" which
is crumbed chicken that is fried. One of the "chicken's" in the name is arguably
redundant, but they seem to have to add it in order to differentiate it
from chicken fried steak.

There's some weird stuff going on there.

Can't see any of them getting onto the masterchef menu.

Hi Scott,

Living here a few years and eating Vegemite will do that to one's taste buds.

Good Point...I am not particularly fond on Vegemite but I do miss it.
