We finally got some sun on the weekend in Sydney and I dusted off the LS80Tha and the DMK41 camera. Taken with 2x barlow. Seeing was inconsistent and plenty of rubbish interspersed with some good seeing.

Thanks Matt! Had enough good frames to crunch some wavelets etc. Now back to waiting for its re-appearance in Sydney :(

Thanks Al, yes it helps with signal but as Peter Ward has previously said, its the seeing that beats you more than larger aperture. However I would'nt say no to a 203mm lunt :)

Thanks Kev. I tend to agree, although inconsistent seeing can make you work hard to extract the detail at higher mags.

Yeah, but I don't think I'm seeing limited on my SM40 very often.:P
