I love seeing the sun shine from a place where its better being dark ;)
ripper of an image Al.
BTW your collimation application is worth my weight in gold, between Scott and myself we collimated the meade 14 in less than 3 min. Fantastic

Thanks Ted.
Here's the rest of the set that I processed last night. I did some experimenting with wavelets on these.
No2 is made from my reference frames so its a stack of just 10 frames for each half of the mosaic.

Very nice Al!
Is that a mosaic or can you capture the entire disc in 1 frame?

Thanks Ray.
Mosaic. I can just get the disc across the width of the frame so a full disc is a mosaic of 2 stacks.

Nice image Al. Sol has been rather quiet of late and I suspect we have already seen maximum for this cycle. Each day now is under 100 for spot count and three months ago it was nearing 200. That is a shame if that is the case.
Cloudy here today and quite cold. Lovely global warming.;)

Yeah I thought it didn't look as busy as it was before Christmas. I hope maximum hasn't been and gone....
As for global warming... what do you expect... these new high efficiency fluoros don't put out as much heat as the old globes.:P

Nice stuff Al! It has been a frustrating time of late!
I like the proms you captured.

Thanks Matt. The proms were only captured at prime focus of the ED80 so they should be sharp;). I was having a few issues with ICCapture at the time and gave up before capturing any proms with the 2.5x Powermate in the train... it turns out my HDD was nearly full anyway:rolleyes: (hence the problem with ICCapture). It just wasn't going to happen.:)
