It's been a little while, but we finally have a nice cool, clear and steady night in Perth it seems! It makes such a difference when the focus is sharp and temperature down. Camera running at -10, HFD at 3.4 which is OK for summer.

Yep, sure has been a nice change. I've been outside with the spiders and bandicoots capturing the eta Geminorum lunar occultation. Inside now to look at the results. Still a few more weeks of nasty hot stuff to come, though, I suppose. Next weekend not looking so good.

Good to hear Jacquie.. how were the results? Get it?
You're lucky to have Bandicoots around your place, we have had a few diggings lately but never see them and only occasionally have diggings. We would love them to come and turn over the leaves on the garden more. :)
Tonight might be a reasonable night too, but you're right, back to the hot weather soon and probably high summer cloud with it :( I'm certainly looking forward to a change of season.

Ye-es. Just a small doubt that I have captured it correctly as the laptop decided it would play up at the time and recording was a bit 'jerky'.
It's a bit strange that there aren't more on your side of the hwy, seeing how there seem to be plenty here on the southside all the way up to M-. But they can certainly do a good bit of turning over when they're into it, usually during winter. You should have seen what they did to our lawn and the rose garden the last couple of years! No harm done to anything but they can move a bit of earth when they're feeling enthusiastic about it.
