Hey everyone.

I have problems with my telescope shaking, especially when using high mag and it's annoying.

I wanted to ask if anyone here has a home-made solution to reduce the wobble? I'd rather not spend $60 on suppression pads, I would very much rather make something myself but not sure what to use or what would be affective.

Any ideas??

Thanks!

Some simple things that cost nothing.

Make sure everything on your tripod is done up firmly. Don't over do it though, you don't want to strip threads or crush things.
Put some weights on your accessory tray. I have a 2lb and 1lb from an old set of scales.
Don't extend the legs any more than you really have to.

I have considered putting another bolt through the legs in the top half to clamp it better but haven't built up the courage to go that far.

I found a lot of the vibration in my Nexstar is in the plastic shell holding the OTA. Not a lot can be done about that.
