Found this cool bit of the Rosette (http://www.pbase.com/strongmanmike2002/image/141078144/original)and thought it looked pretty cool

Looks like a star forming "jet" of nebulosity like in the Trifid and M16..?

Looks cool Mike and it looks like one of the pillars of creation but without creation, perhaps it is the pillar of destruction?

A fantastic closeup Mike.

It shows your 12 inch telescope has so much in reserve and even more amazing photos to come from you.

Thanks.

Ross.

Cheers guys, just lots of fun working with this amazing data.

The seeing was actually very soft (quite typical for Newcastle it would seem) on both nights for this data, if I ever get some really good seeing :prey: it will be quite exciting.

Thanks for lookin :)

Nice catch Mike. Yes it does very much resemble the similar objects in M16 and the Rosette.

Cheers

Cheers boys

The Rosette, particularly in NB, just has so much to see in it, everywhere you scan over the full frame image, particularly at full res, you can find an interesting bit...certainly lots of animals :P

The AG12 allows me to catch plenty of stuff in one shot, quickly and at good resolution (would be better in good seeing)...helps a time starved imager like me without an observatory

Looks like one of the spikes in the core of M20. Cool close up.

I have hopes for Sat & Sun nights (as far as clear goes) I am sure the seeing will be crap again  the 7-day timer mostly always shows light gray or white circles for seeing for Newcastle (ie crap). It is rather frustrating actually. I would love Ang top get a job in Chile :D...she wouldn't come if it was me that got the job

Cheers Marc, yes my first thoughts myself
