Here's a shot of M42 taken with the Meade DSI last week sometime. Quite impressed with the little DSI so far. One of my best.
18 x 17.1 seconds exposure stacked in Registax. Photoshop CS to bring out the details. :)

very very nice, I am very impressed with this DSI, I know how hard you have had to work on your polar alignment and it really shows how well you have got it going at the moment.
Again I would recommend Iris to have a crack at your dso's (http://www.astrosurf.org/buil/us/iris/iris.htm)

nice detailed image, I think the DSI will be great for imaging small planetary nebulas too.

exellent ezy...have you tried masking a set if shorter exposures to bring out the trap and get rid of the burnout...i am talking like ive done it before but i havn't...dam cloudy skies..grrrlll...anyway, here's the article i got the idea from..(sorry if you've seen it already)

thanks for the inspiration all :) been playing with Iris davo, still trying to learn the program. thanks for the link.
was trying to look for ghost of jupiter last night scott. can't find it anywhere even with goto. unless i was looking at it but thought it was a star?
thanks starrcrazy for the link. exactly what i was looking for tut on masking. Will try it out. :)

no probs...make sure and let me know how ya went...i can't wait to try it myself.....but havn't had good skies for soooo long....managed to get some nice shots with the slr of the moon coming up and thought i was gunna get a good night...but neyyy...wasn't to be....those darn clouds, if i was farmer, it'd never rain...l ol;)
