hi,
i'm looking for the explore scientific eyepieces, but their not sold here in Australia, so I looked at other vendors in the US that have them. Unfortunantly the price of shipping wasn't very pleasing on the ES website. Astronomics and telescopes.com don't ship them out here. So if anyone who owns one of these eyepieces, could you tell me where to find them at a more decent shipping price ($30 - $70). The ES website was charging $125 - $175.
:confused2:

I believe that the Explore Scientific distributor in Australia is Extravision. Not sure if they have stock yet.

I was going to ship one but cheapest rate I could find was $50, it means you need to find one secondhand, shipping is usually 20-25

Good question Ibrahim and I will watch with interest.
I wanted to buy the ES 100mm refractor which looks really nice and gets great reports. But they wanted $320 to ship OTA only and $400 with the Twilight 2 Tripod. So the 100mmm OTA went from $399 + shipping to $719 delivered and I can do better here with Skywather.
Good luck in the hunt and I will be interested in the responses cos I think they will be nice EPs too.
Just checked Extravision.com.au and they list Bresser but no prices so, as Peter suggested, they mustn't have stock yet. Email them about the ES eyepieces and post their response please.

thanks for all the help (I didn't know that extravision stocked them), i'll leave extravision an email about their price. it would probably be better to get the eyepieces from here rather than the US.

Buy them from Optcorp like I do. About $60 shipping per eyepiece, maybe a bit less on the smaller and lighter ones. Use USPS shipping not UPS.

Yes they do. I bought an ES 14mm 100° AFOV eyepiece from Astronomics last year and some other toys in a separate order a few weeks ago. Please note that I'm not trying to push you towards Astronomics, they are just one of many good dealers in the USA, Australia and elsewhere.

I too have used OPT Corp and found them to be quite good. They have a second hand section as well. You may find what you want there. :)
