Seeing was quite good the morning of 19th January in Brisbane. I imaged Mars, Saturn and the Moon. The previous night I had a go at Comet Lovejoy in the light polluted sky and, after vicious processing, managed to get a hint of the comet :)
Thanks for looking,
Tom

Great shots Tom. A busy morning.
Amazing you still got Lovejoy without going to a dark sky site. You'd be able to adjust the curves even more aggressively if you did a flat field (or maybe you did, and were totally over the top!?)

Really like the Crescent Moon and Mars photos. They are all good but those two really appeal. Well done.

Thanks Ivan and Trevor. The comet image was a stack of 21x25sec exposures at 30mm f/2.2 and ISO3200 with a 600D on a fixed tripod. I didn't do any flats and I've attached one single exposure out of camera.
I've also reworked a Saturn shot and a Mars shot here which brings up some more detail.

Thanks guys :) Jen the planets were taken with the 12" Dobsonian, a 5x teleconverter and a 600D in movie crop mode 30fps. The moon shots are single photos using just the camera at prime focus of the telescope.
Tom
Awsome Tom whats a teleconverter  is that the same as a 5xpowermate :help:
