Hi All, dicing with cloud again for this one, snapping shots between the thicker bits, but each avi had fading I had to (try and) dub out.
This is the best of a mediocre bunch, still a good cassini division, sharp globe shadow and some banding. The crepe is faintly there on the lappy, but doubt it will show on a CRT. No ONIONs so the high Gain, High Gamma and Low Brightness is still paying dividends :D
Brightness 40%, Gain 60% and Gamma 50%
cheers,
Striker

Love it - the new capture parameters for you & Saturn go together very nicely.

I'm back for another look.......LOVE it Robert!!
I've been thinking...I reckon the only way possible for you to improve upon this (without 10/10 seeing) is an extension tube.
As you've said in the past, your other TV power mate is too much unless the seeing is REALLY good. Your @ F25 at present with the 2.5X powermate, yes?
Ever thought about it?.....F30?

Beautiful.
On the subject of onion rings, I find I get them when adjusting the 6th wavelet and then using contrast just makes it worse. Does it happen the same with you guys? It doesn't happen with every pic, mainly when I've had to up the gain on the camera and then only had a couple of hundred frames to work with.

Thanks all,
Tony, I'm on the northwest fringe of Brisbane, Everton Hills.
JJJnettie, the onion rings seem to come with a lack of gain and/or gamma on the webcam, not sure with a Camcorder?
Asi, unfortunately the 2.5x powermate is a bit odd in it's optical configuration (compared with barlows and the 5x powermate) in that an extension tube will actually reduce image scale.... hmmm I do have a 3x barlow though still kicking around that might dig out again.
cheers,

Thanks mate. Yes I've heard it won't work with some barlows & powermates, I didn't realize the 2.5X powermate was one of them.
Lovely saturn once again!!
