Couldn't find another thread on this - apologies if this is a dupe, but the Russian satellite Phobos Grunt that failed to launch completely is due to enter the earths atmosphere 'soon'.
There's a good chance it would be visible from a large part of Queensland, if you look to the north east around 7:30 tomorrow morning.

Also I'm following https://twitter.com/#!/PhG_Reentry for updates on the reentry status.

Actually looks like it's slowing down faster than expected and so is going to fall before reaching Oz.

I am watching the 'Live' satellite track (http://www.n2yo.com/?s=37872) of Phobos Grunt and I have clicked on 'Draw Footprint' which marks a circle around the satellites location as it moves along.
I have never used the Footprint feature before.
What is the 'Footprint'?
Is it the size of the area that it could crash in after re-entry?

Ken I think the "foot print" is a bit like the elusive Yeti, Big Foot or the Saskatchewan Monster......
Its neither here nor there, we all know its somewhere but where o where......
Roundabout "X" or "O"
there!:P
