going on opposites, many a time it has been clear an still at bedtime, only to be windy and cloudy at 4am.

so i don't care, it will be the opposite tonight, set the alarms and it will be ok.

the power of positive thinking. if one person fails to set the alarm, then it all falls in a heap!!

Yep! I'm there. Clear here, can't speak for the jetstream though, haven't checked yet.

matt
18-03-2006, 08:18 PM
jetstream doesn't look too bad, but we've already got 65% humidity here, and it's climbing quite quickly:doh:

matt, take a screen shot and save for prosperity and show your grand kids.

"yes sir kiddies, that photo i keep next to my bed be that crazy ol panetary master from round these parts that went to the usa and told em whats for and what to do with their c9.25's. He was adament to the day he dissapeared chasing io's shadow across the desert that the c9.25 that was imported into australia for him b4 leaving these shores was heaps better than the ones made in the US"

"yup his famous 4000 poster was a doozy and aimed at me. Those were the days."

"funnily enough that c9.25 of his went missing along with him, but later turned up in tasmania????"

asimov
18-03-2006, 08:57 PM
:D Ah yes! nothing like a light hearted dig-in-tha-ribs/quip/sacastic/stoopid remark to celebrate ones 4000th post.

(cough)

To get back on topic briefly ;) Good luck with Jupiter guys!

asimov

Beaudy-Newk! Forget them clouds mate, there sent by the weather gods to make you think it ain't happenin'. Once they realize your fair-dinkum, they'll bugger off! (thats the theory anyway!)

matt
18-03-2006, 09:24 PM
Yes, yes... yes!!!!

I see the light, my astro brothers. I'm a believer!

asimov

Conditions here are 'less than favorable' shall we say, but I've noticed the more I don't care, the better the conditions are getting! I'm upgrading it from 4/10 to 6/10 in a half hour. Hmmmm.

matt
18-03-2006, 09:42 PM
72% humidity and only 4 degrees separating dewpoint from current temp.

Gonna be a moist ol' night, methinks

asimov
18-03-2006, 09:52 PM

asimov

True Matt, true....Never know your luck, could turn for the better in your area, likely or not?

asimov
18-03-2006, 11:13 PM
Saturn is doing what I call the famous '9-10/10 seeing condition slow-waltz' on the laptop.

:D The only problem being the dreaded red halo on all limbs has raised it's damned ugly head. Got 6000 frames at different settings in three AV's. Just to get my eye in for joop of course..:)

matt
18-03-2006, 11:29 PM

davidpretorius
19-03-2006, 04:08 AM
