Spotted this tiny little spec yesterday on a leaf. A couple hours later I went back to see if it was still there and saw even more tiny baby ones sitting on other leaves very jealous of their sibling with the big juicy fly. :D

Great photos, Ken - you can see every tiny hair on its body. Fascinating little critturs, these jumpers - I love watching them on the prowl.

Thanks guys, Was such a tiny little spider only just saw it.
Taken with a Sigma 150mm on a Canon 600D. Using a 270EX II flash with a home made snoot/diffuser until the 580 arrives.
Manual settings, 1/200 sec, ISO 200 manual focus

Hi,
These little spiders are amazing, and I am rather glad they don't grow to the size of a huntsman, say.
I was studying one on a plant once and realised it was studying me, as well. I moved a foot to one side and it moved around in line. I moved back, it did too.
Apparently these big front eyes give the spider a clear image, probably in colour. They are fierce little hunters, and I felt myself being sized up as dinner .
Cheers
