I was on a week's holiday down the coast and thought I would check out a zoo for some different animals that are not native for a change.

It was a bit like shooting fish in a barrel! It's not much fun taking photos where the animals are right where you can find them. I guess the challenges of bars and mesh in the way, glass and reflections, harsh and deep shadows, other people fighting for a look and some pretty sleepy and inactive animals made it a bit of a challenge.

Great shots there Barry!
Love Red Pandas. I have tried myself shooting them but they are pretty shy creatures......also that pic has reminded me to bring my big flash with me next time I visit the zoo. Helps when they are hidden in the shade of the tree branches......
Thanks

Better give yourself one, just in case... ;)

The first one was a self-portrait... what's wrong with my hair? :P

I've been told off before for using my flash around the Red Pandas, as apparently it will hurt or possibly damage their eyes. Not saying it's strictly true but I did feel like a real chump!

Cheers,
Cam
