Hi, I bet you were expecting a bird like image, sorry to dissapoint you! :P

Finally got around to moving BBB (big blue bertha) outa the back-yard & into the front driveway, was having a terrible time out back with southerly breezes on most nights so I had to find a spot more sheltered.

First time I've had big blue out in months & collimation was still right on the money.

the 6V battery went belly-up on my 10 dollar RA drive :eyepop: so I had to shoot Saturn using the 'fly-by' technique :( so I only got 222 frames & 80% of them were crap from 3/10 seeing conditions & a slight breeze rocking the OTA.

Obviously I could not use the 2X barlow using this method! so yeah, heres about 20 frames stacked in yuck seeing from BBB & toucam:D Oh, & I used the IR/UV cut filter.

John I really like the colour mate it looks spot on, I'm sure with more frames it would come up really well.
Which brand of UV/IR did you use?
I'm looking at getting one too.

The Baader Andrew. $79 from AOE (1.25") In hind-sight, I should have shot an AV without the filter for comparison reasons but didn't think of it at the time. maybe next time.

Not enough image scale, I need to replace the 6V battery & get that barlow & extension tube in there.

Quite happy with the colour, yes.

Cheers mate.

Hi Asi, great to see you've got out the big gun! :D I expect that seeing might impact more on this one than the 6inch?

Not a bad image size anyway as it is, should be a ripper with the barlow and some half decent seeing.

cheers,

I 'cheated' & resampled @ 1.5X Rob.:D I didn't allow for cool down either, just setup & bunged the toucam in away we went!

Oh yeah, 4000 spamless posts, I never even noticed I was close actually!

DEC is good mate...nothing too technical, slow-mo manual tracking just for crap polar alignment compensating purposes in between AVI's.
