Did you see lunar occultation of planet or bright star ?

Seems obvious but it is not that the Moon occults 1st mag stars or planets.
There are only five bright planets of which Mercury is always close to the Sun and four bright stars: Aldebaran, Regulus, Spica and Antares.

These are rather rare.

I did only see :

1x Aldebaran
1x Antares
1x Saturn
4 attempts for Venus all clouded out

Some thirty years ago I followed the Moon as it slowly occulted Saturn. I was running in & out of the house, "doing homework", to make the event progress quicker! My little Tasco refractor served me very well to see the last few moments of the disappearing act. I can still see the image of a 'half gone' Saturn quite clearly. It was quite a big deal for me at the time.
