I am pleased to announce to IIS & MMS-AATu members some amazing news regarding our good mate Mr Brad Moore :D

In the first week of 2006, as many of us may remember, Brad submitted his first real project image to the NASA's APOD Site. His "Tarantula Spider" was received and very promptly published at this famous astroimaging showcase.

He was delighted as we all would be. But he also confided to the MMS members and myself that he now "had an uphill battle on his hands to top that one" and was afraid he may well have no place to go from there. Poor Brad :P

Well folks..he's done it again!! Within a very short while (in less than 10 weeks) Brad has managed to get his latest Mapped Eta Car image onto the world's No1 astronomy page!! Bugger Brad..well done mate.

We at MMS-AATu are so very proud of you and I know that this is just the beginning, you are Australia's No1 astroimager, beyond any doubt in my honest, but humble opinion.

Feast thou eyes on this all and enjoy...its a long road to the top.

Can you have two flukes in a row?
They are both magnificent images and their place in APOD is well deserved. It is not just the equipment. It is the whole complicated sequence that leads to an outstanding image. Understanding all the steps involved and the careful application of this knowledge gives the results Brad obtains.
Congratulations on the recognition of your outstanding efforts.
