Hi,
I took this images on December 28 2011 from Mondragone, Italy by using a canon eos 550d attached on a SW 12" dobsonian autotracking telescope. Seeing was not very good and light pollution was terrible....They are in absolute my first high resolution images in my life...
All images were taken in automatic tracking. The first was obtained at F/5 (it's a full frame image); the second was taken at F/5 in crop mode (640x480) and, the third at F/10 (barlow 2x) in combination with crop mode;
Iso 100
Exposition time: 1/60sec.
Video time: 60 sec
Video capture: 60fps
Elaboration: Registax 6

I know, they aren't perfect, but it's just a little way to begin....
Many thanks to Von Tom for his suggestions...

Great results Nunsio, a good lot of detail for sure, this has inspired me to try the Vid capture on dslr ?

Thank you Bob...Dslr's video capture seems to be usefull in Hi-res imaging...

Nunzio these are great! Such good detail and far, far better than my first attempts with the same gear :) How did you find the tracking, was it adequate for the task?

The last one is good, and shows promise of better things to come :)

Thank you Clayton, I hope to take a better barlow lens in order to obtain better results......
Hi Tom, thank you for your appreciations. The track was good, but I think it would be better if I'll provide to better balance the telescope:in fact, the addition of eos 550d and barlow on the focuser, at the end of the tube, definitely does not play in favor of the correctness of tracking ... However, when I taken Jupiter, at F/10, the planet remained in the approximatively in the centre of 640x480 frame for 60-70 sec (it moved just a little), the time necessary for me. I think that by adding a conterweight (1kg or 1,5Kg) on the prymary side of the tube, in opposite part of the focuser, the telescope should be well balanced. I'll use some magnets.
I think that the tracking of my telescope can be improved a lot, as you can see by this video (my tracking is not so good) in wich the author used the same telescope and a powermate 5x... perfect track, I'd say

In the next days, I'm going to buy a televue 3x barlow lens and I think to use it as a 4-5x too... I would like to buy a 5x powermate as yours, but it costs twice and for the moment it is impossible for me...
Regards,
Nunzio

Nunzio spectaluar images with your instrumentation, Using e photocamera in place of e webcam you got very nice images in particular last one with high quality details. This is a very good for future improvements.
