this was a chance photo at around 3.30-4am on the 22nd november. i woke up and saw stars, got up and took a few photos. i have been on holiday so have missed the news about lovejoy, however, now im home and after looking at a few photos of its journey through space i was wondering if this was in the right place for the 22nd? comments please

Nice shot, Nick, but not of the comet. The comet was easily visible on the SE horizon and you couldn't miss the tail!!!!. Not only that, but your pic is a month too early, if you have given the right date.. It had only been discovered about 5 days earlier!!!.

Hi Nikko, Comet Lovejoy was an extremely faint fuzzball in November, it looks like you have recorded a meteor that is in no way related to that comet.

Nice meteor or slight chance be an Iridium Flare ? Cool catch !

i think this was an iridium flare i caught while photographing lovejoy at my mums place.
the first picture i posted, i think now is just a nice meteor i have had time to look more pictures of when lovejoy was first discovered.
