Hi All

Got the Lunt LS80Tha scope and DMK41 camera out on New Year's day. Seeing was average but slow enough to get some reasonable data. This was my first attempt at combining prominence data and surface data and I think it came up well. Enjoy.

Beautiful. Was this a double stacked system you are using???

Thanks Mark

It was done as a single stack. I find the double stack somewhat problematic with some uneven patches or streaks that have to be carefully managed with tuning and post processing.

I have serious scope envy.
I must get some threadlok breaker and finish my PST upgrade.

Very nice.
Excellent detail with LS80 & DMK41, great combination.

Thanks Arek, agree it hits a sweet spot especially when used with a 2X barlow as in this case.

Peter...Well aperture up to a point and then you hit seeing limits during the day :)

Beautiful - that sunspot area looks incredibly 3D to me.

That is an extraordinary result what a prominence group to get, a good omen for 2012.

John.

Thanks Derek. Yes I'm keeping an eye out for some views as soon as the weather settles here in Sydney.

Thanks!

Thanks Dave.
