Comet Lovejoy 31st December, 2011

Pulled an all nighter once again with Jeanette and Jase on Friday night/Saturday morning to try for Comet Lovejoy for what will possibly be the last time.

I have put together a timelapse taken on the night from a section of Lake Somerset in Kilcoy and have also included one still image from the timelapse.

It is very faint now but almost looks like a three fingered hand hanging from the sky.

I can imagine the views would be stunning from Tasmania, you are very lucky! Jase and I are heading there in March for 3 weeks, I am so excited :) And I am definitely okay with you sharing the vid, I'd love others to see it as well :)
