Hi,

I'm getting there, and I'm quite happy with this image.

Stars are much sharper at F/5.6 and better tracking and polar alignment helped.

A total of 32 minutes light frames, 6 darks applied and flat field in DSS.
Tweaked in Photoshop and cropped. There is still some noise, think I can get rid of this with more processing.

Camera Canon 1100D
75 x300 zoom at 100mm f/5.6
ISO 3200.

I am guessing that the large cluster at centre right is 47 Tucana. Do you know what the object/cluster is at the center close to the top?
