I know you are probably all over this but for me it's a little exciting and only the second time I have tried to do this kind of thing...

Thanks Carl for your advice, I tried to remember it at 3am when I was setting up!!

I still had some ambient light from Koo Wee Rup I think... maybe even Tooradin but much better than the night before and a service station!!

All were taken with my Sony a77 and SAL16-80@16, M/F... the fog came in at the end and I took some photos along the road I was on too...

Nice shots Rosie!!!!. I especially like the B&W one :)

If you get a chance to take some more piccies, bump the exposure time upto 60-80secs and see what you get. Should bring out the comet more. Alternatively, you could raise the time to 50 secs and then stack 5-10 of the pics in RAW, then process them.

Oh...you've also got a meteor and a satellite trail in some of your piccies:)

Thanks Carl :)
It was interesting and I was quite surprised how much the comet had faded in just one day, really struggled to see it with the naked eye this morning...
I was wondering what I had in #2 and #3... cool. I did see the satellite blinking across the sky.
Not sure if I can do a third night in a row, we're out for NYE on Sat night and will be concentrating on fireworks but maybe into the new year if it's still around.
Take care and Happy New Year!! :D
