Hi Down Under !

I am from Holland and *not* a beginner in Astronomy but on this forum.
As I travel a lot (and visited AU more times) I'd like to share my ideas and learn from you. I know the southern celestal hemisphere very well due to my travels and know lots about computers and software (Mac OSX, Linux, iOS, Android).
I have this hobby for already 46 years and seen a lot the latest years more on holiday than at home not because I am on holiday so long / often, but because in NL cloud cover and light pollution are very severe.

I hope this is the right thread to post this .....

Hallo Skysurfer!
And of course you can understand English ( like most of the Dutchies.....)
Waar in Australie heb je gezien en geblijft?
-just to translate- i have just welcomed skysurfer, told him I was of Dutch origin and asked him where he has been....just in case you are curious....
En wat is jouw naam?
Bartman

Welcome Skysurfer.

You must be a patient man if the weather conditions in the Netherlands are so adverse to astronomy.

Hope you find good company here on those cloudy nights.....
