Up 1.30am as wide awake (dont know why as very sleep deprived at moment, like many of us ..... cometchasers!!) so set forth ... for somewhere, north was lit up by cloud and lightning so headed 1 hr west to set up.
I found that the comet has decreased in brightness over the last 2 days . 2 days ago it was stunning from a similiar site, and now it was less visible, and dont think will be long before it becomes too tricky to see.
We are also about to be inundated with cloud from Cyclone Grant so believe this is my last time ..... but you never know.
Have been wanting to photograph the stars over this old house at Woodstock for ages, so glad to be able to get a comet there too!!
Weather started off clear, then gradually clouded over, with lightning everywhere, so moved back towards town and stopped for a few last minute images before it got light, then home to bed.
This last 5 days or so have been a wonderful experience. I have taken images of comets before, but not one as bful as this, so thank you again Terry. I will have some wonderful memories, as most of us will. :)
