Comet Lovejoy, Perth WA

We made the short 4km journey to Perth Observatory and were greeted with the ghostly tail jutting out of the horizon. The tail is a good 20 degrees long, a real Christmas treat! My Dad Vic and I spent the early hours of Christmas Eve atop the 24" Lowell Dome at Perth Observatory for these shots.
