Lovejoy melbourne outskirts

Tried yesterday morning to capture this comet with no luck due to clouds and getting up too late so this morning set out at 3am to a favourite spot and was amazed at how good it looked!

Thanks, i would say its not brighter than mcnaught it looks pretty much like the pic to the naked eye only slightly dimmer

fortunately the hailstones missed us but they did some big damage. Where else can you have 30 degrees and clear skies and near tennis ball size hailstones on the same day!!!

thanks, i stacked 10 exposures of 30sec this time and just did the auto thing in photoshop. i had to crop the photo cause the foreground came out as a massive blur must have been from the long grass blowing in the breeze
