Spectroscope components

Greetings,
Developing an interest in this area and am contemplating building a classical spectroscope. Simple question, are there any stand-out suppliers of slits, gratings etc known to the group? :question:

In the "Projects and Articles" section there's details of both Classical and Littrow spectroscopes....
The key components - Collimator/ Imaging lenses (Ex Cheap Bino's?), the slit can be made from pencil sharpener blades but you'll probably have difficulty find good s/h or cheap gratings. The best supplier is Optometrics.
("Astronomical Spectroscopy for Amateurs" gives a lot of good hints and tips ;-) )
