Whats the real difference?

well, lots really.

My NEQ had a smear of white grease instead of buckets of Skywatcher Black Goop.

AND

Ive found an "N" in the name-plate description.

2 minor differences aint any thing really :P

It could be if the gloop gives issues, I've had an NEQ6 for a year or more now, can't fault it, and despite a definite penchant for pulling things to pieces, haven't even thought about it on this one, it just works.

I rang Andrews and thats all the difference..it (NEQ) accepts the Losmandy stuff

The newer EQ6 pro's don't have the black goo in them (some people love to think they have :P ).
