Hi All,

Imaged Jupiter last night in the best seeing I have had for this apparition. I have rated as 6 to 7/10, actually bordering on good which certainly makes for a pleasant change.

Have posted a couple of RGB & 807nm IR data sets along with links to animations of all data from this session.

Note: the 807nm IR animation is 2.9 Mb and the RGB animation is 7.6 Mb.
There are 5 IR images in the IR animation and 4 RGB's in the RGB animation.

There are some well defined small white ovals toward the Sth Polar region, some really nice structure in the wake of the GRS, the barges in the NEB are very crisp and oval BA is quite faded.

Thanks very much Derek, Ray & Jeanette, it was nice to get some reasonable data for a change, it has certainly been a lean time of it over the last 6 months for Jupiter. Just about time to get back into Saturn.

Regards
Trevor

Nice work Trevor, the animations are "smooth" I'm guessing winJUPOS?

Top stuff Trevor, I feel very lonely with Jupiter so low now and seeing not very nice for such a long time :(

Thanks very much Rob, yes WinJUPOS, still coming to terms with what is the best way to deal with the individual map seams. I need a run of good seeing to get more practice at it.

Thanks very much David, it has certainly been very poor over the last 6 months, obviously exacerbated even more for you being so much further Sth. Looking forward to Saturn at 68 degrees alt.
