Bought new from Bintel in April 2009.

Includes:
Standard Meade Tripod
8x50 finder
1.25 inch visual back
1.25 inch Meade diagonal
26mm Meade Plossel eyepiece
15mm York Optical Wide Angle eyepiece
12V cigarette plug cable
Dew Shield
Serial Cable to interface with a PC
Manuals and documents from Bintel

Beautiful views with a flat field. Goto performs well - it usually puts an object with the field of view of the 26mm eyepiece after careful alignment and levelling of the tripod. I just don't do enough visual astronomy to justify keeping this scope. I'd rather see it go to someone who will appreciate and use the scope.

There are a few scratches on the tube, but nothing major.

I have upgraded the clutch and focuser bearings with the Petersen Engineering parts. The clutch needs only gentle tightening and the focuser is silky smooth with reduced image shift during focusing.

New this scope cost me $3650 when the dollar was low. They are now on the Bintel website for $2599. :(

I'll part with mine for $1750 plus freight. Located in Brisbane for local pickup. I have the original box for the scope for shipping.

Thanks for looking,

DT

Just an update after a test run with the scope last night (making sure it's all working - don't want to sell someone a dud!)

After careful leveling of the tripod and putting the two alignment stars in the middle of a 12.5mm reticle eyepiece, the gotos from one side of the sky to the other were all well within the field of view of the 26mm eyepiece.

It's a good scope - I have one and it takes good pics too.
I use a wedge on a pier.
Wish I'd got mine for that, I paid 3000
