After so much hype I could not stop thinking, as I observed the moon personified last night, how modestly it behaved as many Earthlings (this Earthling included) sat and watched in awe at what was essentially the Earth's shadow on it's person.
Here are my few pictures taken from the backyard seated watching north through my Andrews 20 x 80 binos, with the iphone 4 placed at the eyepiece, and cup of tea in the other hand.
One of the pictures is that of totality, and the other reminds me, as I post on this forum, what many of us in Sydney were battling, (the clouds) to catch glimpses of the eclipse. I call the struggle to view the eclipse through the clouds, "the eclipse of the eclipse, by cloud".
