and Greg raisedeth his hands and said unto the clouds "Go Away"...... and it was so.
I think I got incredibly lucky last night. Had a heap of cloud and rain during the day into the evening. But just before midnight the clouds broke up a bit and I managed to get a few shots off before a storm came through about half an hour after totallity.:D

Beautiful shot Greg, one of the best I've seen!
20s exposure, wow I couldn't do that. I just plonked my mount down and had to keep adjusting using the hand controller to keep it in frame :)

Fantastic image Greg, really well done. Best Eclipse I managed last night was the cloud in front of the Moon. :(

Thank you all so much for the great feedback :D I'm glad you all like it. Sorry to hear so many people missed out with bad weather. I still can't believe my luck with this one.

Thank you so much Mike :D That means so much. Yeah I was quite surprised I could go that long without some small amount of blurring even with the NEQ6 Pro mount set on lunar tracking considering I couldn't properly polar allign the mount with all the cloud around. I just plonked the tripod legs down on their marked positions on the concrete slab I use and started taking shots. It did drift a small amount over the course of the eclipse but obviously not enough to effect a 20 second shot. I had to do a 20 second exposure as this particular shot was actually taken through some faint wispy high level cloud, thus making the moon even dimmer than normal.
