This is what a few of the 2000 (!!) new, outdoor quality IceInSpace stickers look like.
They arrived yesterday, and they're great!
They'll be able to go on your scope, eyepiece case, car window/bumper etc. :)
I'll figure out the best way to post them without them getting too bent etc (any ideas?) and then get an order form online for people to grab some!

Maybe in an envelope between a couple a stiff pieces of cardboard? Not too much else springs to mind.

I'm pretty keen to get my hands on one.
I believe they would be fine to be posted without any protection. They are plastic so when you stick it to something it will just follow the contour of whatever it's stuck on. Anyone agree?

Yes, I agree. Just post them in standard envelopes Mike - they'll be fine. I've never received a purposely folded envelope in the mail yet.
Now - how do we get hold of a few?

they'll travel fine I'm sure, no need to worry about extra protection. the postie LIKES to have his letters flat and unbent as they go through the sorting machines and letterbox slots better.
(unlike parcels so who cares how they travel.LOL)
They look great Mike.
I'll be keen to grab a few of them.
Cheers

Are these the same design as the last batch of stickers Mike?
How much approx?

Hi Andrew
Yes, same design. In a few months I want to get a new design done, maybe a larger square design but didn't get a chance to do it this time around as it was more costly and I couldn't get a hold of the hi-res image in time.
I'd love to be able to give them away; with the last lot of paper stickers I was happy to give them away to anyone who asked because they were so affordable, but with this lot they're much much more expensive so I'm going to have to charge for them. I'll only charge what it costs to get them printed, which is about $1 each.
It's not that practical to have people pay a single $1 for a single sticker though, so I'll probably have to do it in batches of say 10, in order to make the postage and paypal fees worthwhile.
They're 297mm long though so won't fit in a normal DL envelope. I'll have to send them in A4 size.

Just checked the AusPost website, and for postage of a C4 envelope, even with just the stickers (under 5mm thick, up to 20g), it's still going to cost $1.20 to post.
So will factor that in too.
The prepaid C4 envelopes are $2.70, but could do it a bit cheaper if I buy a pack of C4 envelopes from OfficeWorks and put stamps on later.

Where did you have the stickers printed? Seems pretty reasonable at $1 each. Cheapest I could find was around $3.70..

Depends how many you want to print. I got 2000 printed so the price came down. I got them done at Rentons.

like most of us here mike!!! the price will be what ever... you can't do it for nothing...... i'd rather pay more cover your costs and time also make a bit of money to help keep this forum up and running

I did a test run today, sent 10 stickers in a C4 envelope to Phil (acropolite).
Cost $1.20 to post.
So all good - I'll get an order form up, probably on Monday. They'll be priced around $13-$15 for 10 stickers, which will include postage and handling and paypal fees.

:D
Unfortunately it just won't be practical to send a single sticker or 2 stickers, unless they're included in some other order (like calendars or yearbook).
I know not everyone is going to want 10, but that's the best way to do it I think.
