A lot of you are aware of what I have been going through of late. I expect this has been the longest 10 weeks of my life.
I have just had the biopsy results phoned through from my ENT specialists office.......NO CANCER........
I owe so many of you so much for the kind wishes and kind thoughts that I really don't know where to start and who to thank. You have all been so wonderfull.
I now just need to find out why I have had this for so long but rulling the big C out makes the rest easy.
Thanks again everyone you are a great bunch and I owe you all so much. The likes of Pete Miller and JJJ who have suffered so much but still found it in their hearts to prop me up I don't know how you do it. I love you both.
Maybe some sleep tonight. Sorry for rambling on.:thanx:
Hi Doug,
Great to hear you have the all clear.
Sleep well.

Lucky you Doug,:thumbsup: what a scare.
Hope this doesn't mean that you are going to restart sucking
on those filthy dirty smelly cigarettes, DOES IT DOUG? Their nothing more than a concentration of vile and putrid pollutants.:eyepop:
If you feel the need to stick something in your mouth and suck why not try a DUMMY I'm sure any of your grand kids would prefer that you did.
Cheers Doug. I'm really very pleased for you.
PS, you're never to old to be lectured to.:P:P especially from a distance:lol:

I doubt I will go back on cigarettes again but to be honest it is this small minded approach to cigarettes that gets most smokers backs up. I enjoyed several of these vile putrid things each day which reduce the tax burden of the non smoker imencely.
I didn't notice the lecture on the evils of the dreaded drink which is apparently just as big a contributing factor with this type of cancer. Compounding the two and many should have been dead years ago.
I may well be a non smoker or at least a smoker who chooses not to smoke but suspect I will miss several cigarettes each day from here on. Lucky for me the results weren't cancer and I get to live another day and I do hope I will maintain my thoughts on smoking and smokers and show them the compassion often forgotten about. If you enjoy it, do it.
And yes I am to old to be lectured to.

Keep on keeping on, Doug.
Glad it's all turned out ok for you.
Allan
No lectures Doug just encouragement.
Giving up the smokes is bloody hard. I've tried and failed a number of times but have managed to cut the intake right down.
Going to have another go over the Christmas break.

Fair enough Doug, but not all smokers get their backs up, I know quite a few.
In a recent meeting at my adult son's day care centre this topic of smoking by staff came up. Most parents wanted to inforce the rules, which is, no smoking anywhere on the premises including outside away from any buildings. I argued against this rule, as the staff can at times be under extreme stress and some leeway is required. So now occasionly you'll still see one or two or three having a deep suck, and when I drive past I generally make a smart arse comment, knowing that they will just have a laugh or just brush it off without a thought, and we all get along happily ever after. Yes I do appreciate that for some it is a real challenge.
Anyway the main thing is you're in the clear, lets hope it stays that way.
As I said before, I'm really pleased for you.:thumbsup:
Cheers
Richard

Doug, What great news and a huge relief.
I spoke to Ken after the camp and he told me about the procedure that your were in for to see just what it was and I honestly have to say that I have had you on my mind everyday since.
I can't imagine what you must have been going through leading up to it and not knowing.
I'm so glad that you have the all clear and things can get back on track, especially in time for the march camp.:D
All the very best wishes from me and look forward to catching up again at SV.
Cheers Daniel.

Just got the full set of results today. No cancer detected. Need to do a few things which sort of sound funny but will follow the directions. A few worrying signs but at the moment it all looks very good for the future.
I think I'm still breathing out. What a releif. Thanks everyone you are all really something else.
Pete, slow down, breathe deep. I'm still alive. Helen worked out my super etc and I have now spoilt her plans. That will cost me.
Cheers
