Becasue of my limited sky view from my OBS I was limted to imaging yet another test run last night.
LRGB 40:30:30:30 10 min ea
ED80 EQ6

Tried another set of flats at differnt exposures to try and get it as flat as possible. Trial and error I am afraid!

Still, the guiding is great with the light ED80 and super wide field orion guide scope.

Faint Galaxy and not the biggest either, but at least I could track it for 2 hours.Looking forward to M42 actually coming into range next month!

Paul, that's a really nice result using a small scope as it really shows the loneliness of some of these galaxies in the void.

Thanks Allan - sure is lonely sitting out there!

Thanks Darrin - The benfit of this size chip over my last chip is the ability to centre an object and still have planty of real estate around it!

Thanks Glen! I love the ED80 because its easier to handle for the mount and doesnt need collimation - but imagine what a 10inch would do for this object! I was happy to get a spiral happening anyway!
