So many outings to the park, keep forgetting to take my camera. I do enjoy living in the moment, but it's important to capture these memories as well.

The last one is spectacular.

Print on canvas, hang in home.

85mm f/1.2L and 135mm f/2L magic?

Thanks mate. All with the 85L. Was shooting pretty wide open and missed focus a lot. The AF is just a touch too slow for him. Was surprised at the purple and green CA, especially around the high contrast water droplets. Shouldn't have been a surprise, I know it happens, but I've never noticed it. Probably haven't shot so wide open in scenes like his where it shows up.

Troy, the swing shot is a cracker. I know what you mean about focus, swing shots with kids are close to impossible at shallow DOF, in fact a fast moving toddler is a challenge for even the best focussing system.

Yep, a fast moving toddler is challenge for everyone and everything, including a camera! He's certainly having fun hanging out and being a boy Troy. Certainly some keepers in there.

They are all great Troy. The swing scene is great for hanging etc but I do like the candid shots. You can almost see the thinking! "wtf?"

Great memories!

We just had some pics of ours kids printed - standard matte prints which have been block mounted with a fantastic laminated finish. Just curious H as to why you suggest canvas for this? I don't mind the canvas finish, but find it reduces image detail. A lot of people assumed we were getting canvas prints when we told them about what we were doing - is it just the current trend?

Sorry for the thread hijack Troy.

Oh, you're right, David.

It would look better in matte/semi-gloss finish, but, to me, a picture like that doesn't need fine detail. It would look just as great from distance on rag or canvas. :)

Great shots especially the swing shot as everyone says.

I thing your shot is ideal in that the head/face are closest and in focus and the suspended action engenders this "tension" that keeps you staring at the image.

Its a great shot, well captured

well done

Thanks H,

Just wanted to see if it was just me, or do others agree that canvas isn't the be all and end all.
