Wow! Thats very impressive Scott! very very impressive, so the nebula filter would of brought out more dust in the tail I would guess at looking at it? :) excellent
its a shame these beautiful shots gets buried in the thread - be good to have a new page/thread of a collection of the images from this thread or end page with all the pics again of the comet? just so they see light of day again :)
any thoughts?

I agree with you 100% Kearn.

1: What a magnificent image there Scott, so much detail. An awesome shot indeed.

2: Yes these images should have there own thread in the solar system imaging section. I'll see about starting one up. I'm reprocessing my image of the two comets so I'll repost it there as soon as it's ready.

Thanks .
I had the UHCS filter on from previous deep sky imaging and thought Id leave it in with Berts 300mm lens :)

Heres a pic fitting in both fragments (gee the dimmer one has faded a lot now), this time without the UHC-S filter, 3 x 5 mins ISO 200, 300mm f2.8, taken Thursday morning.

I forgot to mention the field in my shot isnt very flat as the dratted TV antenna was right in the middle :( thus the flats I took later cant remove it, I manually used the dodge and burn tool in Photosho as best I could.
