Oh dear, can't seem to get a win with imaging lately. Crook seeing, Dew/moisture in the air/the ever present onion rings...= these images.

the first one with no filters, the second with contrast booster/IR/UV cut/fringe killer.....*sigh* The filters are good on some objects, but not on others by the looks of things.

These look good to me Asi, I like the colour on number two and you've very clearly captured the faint inner crepe ring. Well Done

#2 is getting there re colour!! well done. it must be a pain in the ass trying to sort out the colour with filters etc!

starcrazzzzzzzy, #2 has onion rings, pretend you have cut an onion in half and you have all those concentic circles.

Hi Starcrazzzzzzzy! :D
Yes, I use a 2 times barlow lens (apochromatic not achromatic) & most times an extension tube to get even bigger scale.

I use the philips toucam. Thats a pretty good image you have there! Feel free to post your others

Thanks guys.

I think I have a choice to make here, the filters may give me better colour but at what expense? The first image has way better detail (on the globe at least) & if I'm not mistaken...The storm is present?? (I could be wrong)

Tonight I'm compromising, drop the contrast booster & just stack the other 2 filters & see what happens.

Davo & Rob....you both use LCD monitors don't you?
