It's raining, Chris (Omaroo) got me thinking, I have a quite a few Music DVD's in the collection, I've bought the odd dud and had quite a few recommended by others which are fantastic, so it's always good to hear what others have rather than taking pot luck at the shop.
So here's one to start off.
Please revew some you enjoy, both good & bad.
Title : Jeff Beck, Rock & Roll Party, honouring Les Paul.
Almost anything recent with Jeff Beck is likely to be good, so I bought this DVD after my workmate raved about an Irish singer Imelda May, who features on the DVD.
The title says it all, honouring the great Les Paul and his singing partner & wife Mary Ford.
I'm not that fond of 50,s rockabilly but I love this DVD. The real star of this show is Imelda May and band, her voice is smooth and powerful, she's not too hard on the eyes either. Some of Imeldas tracks have pre-recorded backing vocals, the same technique used by Mary and Les in the 50's.
Video quality is hard to fault, the Audio excelent quality (stereo, dolby 5.1 DTS)
Highly recommended.
