Im not sure Louie but this is the deep space astrophotography images section, wouldn't it be better if you posted within Astrophotography and Imaging forum? at least it would stay visible for longer than a day just due to the shear amounts of images that get posted.

There is always another way of looking at things. Just ran through a few of your tuts and some incorporated some of the things I do but there were differences in the method to achieve differing results. I am certainly going to adapt a few of my routines to implement some of your techniques. Thanks for posting.:thumbsup:

Louie as it turns out I am hoping for some clear sky this weekend. If you look at the current satellite map for SA you would think I am being hopeful. This month though is the start of getting the RC12 up and running. I have all the components together now, I just need to do a Tpoint run and check the PA, then off to image NGC2014 or NGC2035. So within the next month I hope to have a review and an image to display. Weather gods have not been kind around new moon of late.

Excellent Louie,I enjoyed all of them,learnt some stuff too, the steps are efficient for a given effect. The flow is good and cracks along at a good pace without too much inane detail for those that already know PS.

these are just great. I used several of your steps in playing with an image last night and found them very usefull.

Just the photoshop shortcuts alone are also awesome.

So big thanks.

I have 2 suggestions for future ones if I may.

1. Can you make them larger ? There is no way to maximise them and they are pretty small videos on a modest size monitor. Bandwidth is less and less of an issue for most so big files should be ok.

2. Can you finish each with a before and after. Ie show image when you started. Leave it for a few seconds then show the final result. Maybe even 2 iterations of this. Ie before, after, before after. I know I can always rewind but its nice to sort of see at the end what all the hard work produced.

I would also like to put a vote in for a beggining to end one that combines techniques from start to finish of an LRGB image but realise this would be a long video.

Chris,all great points and I totally understand but to date I've had to keep the file size down...this could change in the near future.
