Andromeda @ 50mm f/1.4 (Canon USM prime lens) ISO 1600

Milkyway and Andromeda @ 18mm f/3.5 (Canon EF-S 18-170mm) ISO6400
5x30sec (https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/--ZR8YLteW1o/Tsl4HoQIcoI/AAAAAAAABIM/MKsxCKfWKpY/s1152/AndromedaWider_small.jpg)

Very wide Orion @ 18mm f/3.5 (Canon EF-S 18-170mm) ISO1600

+2 for the last shot. You have just managed to cature a little of the flame nebule in your first Orion shot.
Far better than anything I ever achieved with my first shots

Nicely done. Just shows that you can get attractive shots with basic equipment. Maybe you could try piggyback for the next step.

Cheers
